The Longest Journey

"The longest journey is the journey inwards." ~Dag Hammarskjold

We are so familiar with the aphorism that life is a journey and we travel through it by stages. We are always in movement or in process. Maxims, axioms or apothegms on life as a path we walk, an adventure we embark on, a course we pursue, a road we travel, greatly abound.

The journey spirituality held its appeal for me from the earliest days of my religious life. It has grown in me with the years. Presently, as an educator, counselor, trainer and coach, I have unwaveringly championed the model of growth and the developmental framework in human life and relationships.

I have always seen my personal life and unfolding as on-going creation. Grounded on this core belief, I see everyone as a work in progress, pilgrims evolving to the highest vision of themselves, unique individuals growing to their fullness, people moving towards their most actualized selves, progressively becoming... wondrously metamorphosing into their most exquisite version of personhood...

The banquet of life is laid out for you to feast on. You can take your pick or taste as much as you could. There is so much to savor, relish and assimilate in your life when you decide to really care. Do have your fill and come back for seconds and more...

"The longest journey is the journey from your head to your heart." ~Sioux wisdom
